Girlguiding  troop  of  Elapatha Maha Vidyalaya  was  camped  for  three days ( 09.07.2010 - 12.07.2010) at  the  school premises  to get the eligibility  to award the second year  medals.

A  new  three  storied  building  is  under  construction. The  work  of  the  ground  floor has  already  been  finished. Construction  work  is  being  continued  under  observation  of  concerned  people.

New  Gate  for the school is also under construction.And  the  repair of the main hall is now prograssing.

To mark Poson Poya  Day in 2010 ,the  students  of  R/ Elapatha Maha Vidyalaya  Observed  Sil  with A  new  three  storied  building  is  under  construction. To mark the oncoming  Poson Poya Day  ,the students of grade 9 C  with  the  guidance of their class teacher , lunch was  offered  to  the  children  of the  Children’s Home  at Gatangama  on 15^th June 2010. In addition to  that  children were  presented  with  gift  packets. An entertainment  programme  was  also  organized  to  amuse  children.
